It seems to me that you are a one watch at a time enthusiast. The WC crowd is not representative of anything resembling normal behavior towards watches. If anything WC is provides a diversity of attitudes towards watch related pursuits. So no, you are not alone. Your outlook on collecting creates more space for everyone to share.
