A great place to learn about collecting affordable watches

Hi all,

I've only been on WatchCrunch for a few days, but I can already tell that it will be a fun place to learn about collecting watches. I appreciate the welcoming atmosphere.  I remember joining different special interest groups in the early 90s. People were pretty snobbish about what they knew and tended to treat "newbies" as lesser and needing to "prove themselves."

Good groups, such as what seems to have been created here, provide the best learning opportunities -- just my professional opinion 😎.

Have a great weekend!

I am new here as well. You summed it up perfectly. So happy I found a solid community without any snobbishness.

Welcome to you both. Watchcrunch is a great forum. Just don't go asking anyone whether the apple watch is actually a watch!? That will cause mild hysteria!!

·

Welcome to WC. It is indeed a much more civil platform than most.

·

enjoy your stay sir

·

Welcome. I think you're gonna like it here...we're humans from earth.

Welcome & Enjoy! I give up on snobs. Cars,  wine, art, music, watches, travel .... all of it filled with snobs that don't really know much & only want to hear themselves speak. Here people have fun

Welcome to you both. It's a great place as long as you don't ask about 'you know what or the the thing during the incident that we're forbidden from talking about' so sad what happened to all those new members 💐😔

Welcome onboard! 😊

Oh, there are snobs here, alright. Just wait until you run into the guys with their iced-out Casios. 😉

P.S.: Welcome aboard!

The great equalizer is that a $50 quartz watch keeps as good time as a $10,000 luxury watch. Just prove that you can wear a watch and you are in the club.
