GMT Complication in the UK?

What do we think of owning a GMT watch in the UK? I love the way they look, but I don't have any need to track another time zone so it would probably just be set to GMT which being the same as my actual time zone, might defeat the look a bit?

That's true and I had never thought about it before  especially as I actually live almost on the GMT line. I don't own one and it's not top of my list to buy but it wouldn't stop me buying one.

I suppose in the sake way most of us buy dive watches but at the most only snorkel?

If I had one, I’d set it to my friend’s timezone in Canada as a reminder not to message him in the middle of the night 😆

That's a nice reason!

I have the same „problem“ here in Austria. I really fell for the exact same Christopher Ward GMT because of its brand identity, building quality and overall good reviews . But I’m also thinking - why a GMT watch? I’m barely travelling or crossing time zones.. but the polar dial, the size and the combo with a grey NATO-Strap is killer!

As a resident of the east coast of the US, I would like to offer our time zone as one you can feel free to use on your GMT watch until you actually travel outside of your time zone.

I always set mine to EU time which accounts for most of Europe. Always good to know

Even if you don’t use it the GMT hand looks cool and who knows, you may jump on a plane from time to time.
