State of our collection - His/Hers

I have been seeing several other people talking about their SOTC and I always enjoy seeing collections but rarely see spouses/significant others collections included. So…here is my wife and my collection!

My wife is a weekday Apple Watch wearer and a watch wearer in the evenings and weekends to disconnect from the outside world. She loves to wear small and “dainty” watches due to them being lighter and more elegant.

Wife’s collection from left to right:

  • Gshock Baby G which she has had for nearly 10 years and is her outdoor/camping watch.
  • Casioak Gshock which I got for my wife because she saw it on a cruise ship and tried it on. She loved it but insisted we don’t buy it on the ship. I remember so surprised her with it just the other day!
  • Seiko Salmon dial to celebrate the upcoming birth of our first daughter. She absolutely loves this watch and wears it a lot.
  • The Michael Kors is very special to her as it was a graduation gift from her grandmother before she passed away.
  • Then two fossil watches which get little to no wear but she still likes to wear them from time to time.
  • Not pictured, we have a his/hers vintage pair of Caravelle gold manual wind watches from the 60’s.

In terms of wrist time, the Apple Watch dominates with the Casioak, vintage Caravelle and Seiko to follow.

My collection:

  • This is my beater solar gshock square with multi band 6. I have used this from renovating the house, yard work, beach, diving and more. It loves to get beat up.
  • This Squale 1521 has been in my collection for a long time and is also used as a diver and a beater. The bezel is beat up but the blasted case has held up really well. Very comfortable watch and the only one I put different straps on.
  • My Omega SMPc 300M is my favorite. I love this watch. Not sure what else to say about it. It’s beautiful and will never leave my collection. It is in rotation with my next watch as my every day piece. I recently acquired this and made a long post about what it means to me.
  • My Tudor Black Bay 36 is my other every day piece that I have on when my Seamaster isn’t on the wrist. Such a versatile and stunning watch.
  • The last is my Tissot Ballade Chronometer. This was a gift from my wife to celebrate getting pregnant. Shortly after receiving it we found we were having a miscarriage. This watch is very sentimental to me and I wear it as my dress watch.
  • Not shown is my vintage 1962 Caravelle gold manual wind watch that I have that matches my wife’s. Our goal is to give the his/hers set to our daughter and her spouse on their wedding day, even though that is forever away. So my wife and I wear it at the same time and build memories with them together. Also not shown is a Pulsar “tank” that was my grandfathers until he passed away which usually sits in my watch box and makes me smile when I see it.

I’m terms of wrist time, my Omega and Tudor get 90% of the wrist time. I am very happy with my small collection at this point in time and am going to stay put for a while. I have a rule where I will not be able to get more watches than can fit in my row and plan to keep it that way. I have zero desire to have a large collection and would rather have a few pieces I absolutely love

Thanks.  She has another box for her Baby Gs, vintage watches, tiny cocktail watches, Hello Kitty, etc.  I haven’t taken a pic of that box in a very long time.

Great collections and I love the idea of sharing a watchbox with your significant other.
