Thanks Friend... Just a lil confused. I tend to gravitate towards Vintage sizing, though my wrist is 7.75 - 8 inches (depending on the weather). For some reason the 36mm felt more comfortable (and light - I like lighter watches that disappear) both times I tried the 36 & 40 on. The 40 felt like a big piece of heavy metal (and something felt off), though looking from afar the 40mm size also looks good on me. Hence, this post :)
Congrats my friend. I agree with your (and @Aurelian 's comments). I had first put my name on the list with 4 ADs mid 2022 (in the states). By the end of 2022, I felt I will not get a call, thanked all the ADs (basically moving on). Then I visited 1 AD 3 weeks ago... first they offered me Pelagos 39 (in a week), which I declined saying I still prefer the Explorer, and suddenly last week they offered me an Explorer 36. So believe there is some merit in thinking things returning to normal & a model being produced certain months a year (and then Rolex moving to another one)... Now my confusion is should I go for the 36 or wait for the 40 - Have a 7.5 inch flat wrist; friends say 40 looks better, but for some reason it doesn't feel comfortable to me (I like lighter watches, that disappear) and 36 feels just right... :]
Nice...
The new Summiteer from Traska also has the 369, Indexes and Inverted Triangle as applied Lume Plots (comes in 36.5 and 38.5 sizes) - https://www.traskawatch.com/collections/summiteer-collection
I loved the BB54 and would get it when it becomes more generally available :)
Yeah Vertex looks great, I find it a bit expensive though.
Interesting, which Explorer - 36 or 40 🙂
I recently declined a Pelagos 39 (as I am taking a break from work after 16 years :])
@timeismoneyman - If you dont mind acrylic crystals - You may wanna checkout Lorier (especially Falcon III)...
