Looks like Universal Geneve is on its way back.

Interesting. Looking at the way Breitling has been transformed over recent years, the brand is probably in good hands.

Please be closer to Timex Marlin than Chronoswiss.

Could be interesting, but let's wait and see. Most brand revival efforts fall flat, because the private equity party that finances the endeavour is about as far away from a long term, watch loving and innovative engineering fanatical as you can get. Money is made by selling to the masses, so i don't expect anything radical. A re-issue of the tri-compax, a re-issue of the polerouter etc. etc. All at pricepoints from say 2,5 - 7,5k, at least two thirds of which will be mark-up and marketing...but maybe I'm overly cynical :-)

This is interesting, since I am planning to visit my favourite multi brand ad this week, might mention to him about the news if his family do not already know. They retail Breitling but the relaunched UG might fall to some other ad. I guess it depends on the models from the brand catalogue that will see the light again.

I for one am very excited to see what my favourite vintage brand come up with…🤞🏼🤞🏼

I scream

You scream

We all scream

For POLEROUTER!

In 37mm with date please, and under €1k. Well I can dream, can't I?

·

As long as it doesn't bump up vintage prices I'm good with it,few of them vintage pieces on my hit list.

·

Having more brands and therefore watch designs to choose from is always a good thing. Glad they’re back!

Interesting indeed. I'm expecting a painfully slow rollout of the greatest hits. Plenty of limited editions to start, scarcity, marked up pricing, get the hype machine going. This could make them profitable right from the get go. I would love it if they really got into the weeds with some revived in house movements (🤞new micro rotor). In all, exciting news.
