I mentally break up my watches into mini collections. Do you do the same or see it as one collection. I try to keep each in its own watch box but I am not 100% successful with that.
Even though I sometimes mentally divide my collection into sub-collections, I generally think of the collection as a single entity. Part of the reason for that is that the same watch can exist in multiple sub-collections depending on how you break them down.

I think of it as one collection with sub-collections based on themes in it.
Mine are divided into Daily, Specialist, and other watches

I have a small automatic collection, an even smaller vintage quartz collection I'm working on, a buncha Casios, and a couple of Timex
I have a few pocket watch my self and clocks.
Mine are divided by price point > Style > Brand.
It's one collection at the moment, but I think I will split it into 3 at some point.
Whimsical watches (toys, really), wife gifts and then more serious pieces.
The serious collection will number 12 and contain 2-4 of my current pieces.
Sentimental pieces
Watches I love that'll stay
Watches I don't wear so have gotta go.
Was an A, but now I’m a D 😂
One collection…until it’s time to travel then I try to think if it as a 3-5 watch collection for the trip
