I notice if it's particularly well-done or if the sound is off and people are speaking at the same frequency the music's coming in. I like a little background music for something longer than 7 minutes, personally
I think it's cool when entry-level watches and highly decorated movements come with clear case backs. For anything really sporty or tool-sy I'd prefer a screw-down back
I recently picked up a Seiko 7C43-6010 and am eyeing a vintage Credor as well as a bunch of 7548s. When a quartz movement is built and designed with care/purpose I find it more interesting than a mechanical movement.
As for "qUaRtZ nOt hAvInG a sOuL", I think it's weird that the thing literally made of unfeeling clockwork parts gets personified while the thing regulated by a piezoelectric crystal is the wretched automaton but I'm kind of new to the hobby so maybe it will make sense to me later lol
