Tudor BB54

A looker in every way, shape and form… hard to capture a bad angle of this piece. Very photogenic in almost any setting. I know I’ve mentioned my love for this piece before, and I’ll happily mention it again… I absolutely love it, “It’s so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.” -Ferris

Continue to be patient! I waited as well over 6 month for my Opal BB GMT.

My next purchase for sure

Damn I did not know Tudor also had wait lists, geez. For a hobby that “no one cares about” it sure is hard to find stuff in stock

One AD told me that’s because Tudor released too many models in 2023. Enthusiasts are claiming for ever more models but that it’s diluting the production capacity. He could have sold 20 BB54 a month since last April, but got allocated exactly one every month by Tudor. If anything he looked more frustrated than me.

Wow ✨ Beautiful pictures, well done 🥂

Jeez those picture are amazing!!!

What type of surface you’re taking the photos on that it’s reflecting?

Yeah I hear they’re sparse atm but I’m sure they will start to become more available as time goes on. I called my AD the minute they were released at W&W and she set aside the first one they received. Needless to say I was very appreciative.

Thank you! On this I used a gold piece of construction paper with a clear sheet of plex on top 👌🏻

Indeed… the more popular brands/models are usually a little harder to get but you shouldn’t have to wait too long for a Tudor (normally).

Ugh, that’s unusual for Tudor in general but the BB54 specifically I think they were testing the waters with the initial release to see if the proportions were hit or miss… clearly it was a hit and seemingly sold out everywhere for the time being. Im sure they’ll become available again soon though. Give it until next year after the holidays. I’d be surprised if they continued to be unavailable for too much longer.

Yes I believe I should be able to get it next Winter. It really has quite a unique charm. When I saw it next to the BB58, I found it so much more seductive.

This whole allocation thing is weird. I just walked in an AD in July and walked out with the watch. No purchase history. Never had been there before even.

I saw one a couple days ago at a Tudor boutique; it’s pretty great. It strikes a nice balance between everyday wearable and dressy: it has just the right amount of gilding and the reduced size makes it more subtle. It might be my favorite Black Bay model (though I do like the Pro an awful lot, which is a completely different animal).

By the way - that third shot is excellent! Great job highlighting the gilding and making it pop.

Yeah its also got a lot to do with timing no doubt. Glad you were able to get your hands on one 👌

Being an owner of the 54, coupled with it being my favorite diver of all time, I enjoyed these pics. Amazing work. Very professional

Is it possible to also buy the rubber strap at the AD?

Is it possible to also buy the rubber strap at the AD?

You can, yes. It’s $600, mostly due to the T-fit.

Couldn’t agree more, Goldilocks proportions as they say 👌🏻and the Pro is a killer piece as well! Just a little too think for me but a lot of people don’t mind its thickness at all.

Thank you! Never get tired of shooting this piece. This and the speedy are so photogenic.

Great question. The short answer is yes, but I’ve attempted and they charge $700+ for the strap alone because it requires you to purchase another version of the T-Fit clasp because the bracelet version isn’t compatible for some ridiculous reason 🤦🏻‍♂️
