Hello watch lovers, I purchased a beautiful Longines pocket watch. But I don't understand why Longines isn't mentioned anywhere on the dial. Does anyone happen to know why that is? I couldn't find a Longines pocket watch that did the same thing.
It may be a jewelers watch. It's not unusual to find pieces created by jewelers to show their skill and artistry. Most pocket watches are identified by their movements, because cases and dials were so variable.

Thanks for the answer, i hadn't thought of that when it came to pocket watches. But shouldn't there be a jeweler's hallmark somewhere? I couldn't find anything except the gold/Helvetia hallmarks.

If they signed their work, it frequently wound up on the inside of the case, but if this was a customer asking to have the dial and case swapped out, they may not have bothered, as it wasn't their decision. On a side note, jewelers would frequently record repair and maintenance dates inside the case as well, and yours is surprisingly devoid of any notes!
Not an expert, but a lot of swiss brands had subbrands for international sale. Its possible Longines had made this for international sale, and the subbrand chose not to put their logo on it.
I think its more likely though the dial has been replaced by a non Longines dial at some point.

thanks man 🤝🦓⌚
It looks cleaner this way. Even tho I like their logo, putting it on the movement instead makes it look cooler.
