Was checking out to buy a smart watch (cuz it was one of the popular things back in school) and stumbled upon this video about traditional watches. After that, I was simply mesmerized by the variety and the complexity of watches, and was hooked on em ever since.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
Casio World Time Illuminator
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Start off your collection small, it is really important to honor watches from all price points, not to mentions there are some real bombs down there too. I believe building the collection from the ground up will really help appreciate all sorts of watch manufacturers.
Also, just go with your heart. You don't need to own a Speedmaster if you don't like it, so just get what the heart wants
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Seiko with their new lineup of 5 Sport GMTs.
Longines is always grabbing my attention.
Omega with their new Seamaster Aqua Terra.
Sinn's 556, favorite pilot watch for under 2k.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Probably the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in blue ceramic. I am a real fan of the case shape, integrated bracelet and the dial texture. Its the whole reason why I really love the Tissot PRX powermatic 80 over many 4-digit priced watches, and even 5-digit. The AP is simply the grand daddy of the PRX
