All not great. I guess Hugo Boss still lean into their fashion background with fashion related extras like cuff links in the box sometimes and/or spare strap etc. Still a shame they are so cheaply made. Show better awareness for aesthetics at least.
The vintage inspired stuff is usually released as Limited editions so that can explain the price. As a sales associate for TH, I know these go very quick so if you can get one, good for you. I guess with the divers you are buying the name, although Heuer did invent the first water resistant watch case so some people like that. Couple of hype related thing keep them popular which not everyone gets caught up in (fair enough) but I'd say the quality is still somewhat competitive.
Quartz will always trump automatics in terms of reliability and definitely cheaper to maintain if you take maintaining seriously (service when recommended, reseal etc). It's a very durable watch and this new line has made it very dressy as well. Versatile aesthetic, durability and less-fuss movement. Got a solid all-rounder for an entry watch.
