The only time that anyone noticed I was wearing a watch was because it was a part of a whole 'package' - all suited up, (Barney style :)), nice coat etc... But that's how I learned how niche and insignificant 'world of watches' is - their question was 'is that Rolex?'... No... (it was my Hamilton Khaki on brown leather straps :)). Normal people do not care... The same way about electronics... There is 'iPhone and the rests', there is 'Tesla and the rest'...etc... That's why it's such a cringe when I see the commercials for 'fashion watches' where they try to convince you that 'people will stop you on the street to ask you and complement you on your watch'...No, they won't... When I wear my Cronos which looks like Rollex from 3+ feet away - did anyone EVER stopped me? No, so they won't stop me because Filippo Loreti :). Conclusion - wear what makes YOU happy, NEVER try to buy/wear something just because someone insists it's a 'symbol' of 'social status' or something....
