An emotional post.
Not having shared this before. But I have been going through some rough times recently.
I'm not here to look for sympathy or anything else. Just really wanted to share a short story.
Sometimes the small things are the ones that get us stressed or send us over the top.
Lately things have not been the greatest, but we soldier on.
A very close friend of mine has been a genuine rock. When things have been to much he has been there and I am forever grateful.
And the biggest surprise I got was when I arrived home from work and a package was waiting at my door.
I opened it and was just blown away.
For those who know I'm a quartz guy.
Mechanical watches are just that to me. Nothing more nothing less.
It wasn't a new watch, it was HIS watch that he owned for a few years
Immediately I just broke down because I knew this was his watch.
He later rang me and said and I quote " you appreciate time pieces, appreciate what this is, a token of our friendship. Wear it and know I am with you always ".

Awesome friend! Yeah, it’s the small things in life that add up to big moments. Hang in there bro, this might just be a season……I try to be intentional with my time, so whatever you’re going through tough through it with positive intention. Your perceptions are your reality, so in a way, you have the control to shift your life in the direction you see fit. 🍻

I am cracking on a bit, the big six O not many years off, and in that time I have learned that some friends come and go, true friends are there forever. Great gesture, nice man and lucky you in more ways than one.

This emotional side of watches is what got me into it in the first place. I think this post is a great reminder/ call to a lot of people that collecting something (watches or otherwise) is about more than just the object itself
