So, after many weeks of polls to choose the parts and a rather hurried re-vote on the handset... we finally have the finished article.
Here's all the bits (with the original "chocolate fireguard" hands)
First step... fit the crystal...
Then the bezel...
Next, fit the dial to our movement...
Trim the dial feet...
Then, fit the hands and pop the movement into the case...
Fit the new rotor...
And finally; trim the stem, fit the screw in crown and put it on a strap (temporary) to see what it looks like on the wrist...
So folks... what do we think?
Winner?
Shocker?
It'll be up for auction here in the next few days and all proceeds will go to charity. Hopefully we can raise a few quid for a good cause.
Thank you so much to all of you who took part and voted. It's been really good fun and, who knows, maybe we can do it all again in the future.
❤
A self confessed Seikophile who spends far too much time looking at bits of watches under a microscope. It keeps me out of trouble.... mostly
What an abomination. I love it.
Winner! Surprisingly!! In fact you should look for a factory and we can all be on the executive team?
Looks good to me! 🍻👍🏻
I have to say the pictures don't do the dial justice.
Definitely a winner, I'd have that on my wrist any day👍(and far better than I thought with 'the public' choosing the components).
