Light and Bright

My new GADA tool watch! I love the fixed bars and titanium case, and the lume is exceptional, hence my “light and bright” caption.

I had hoped to procure this piece ever since its debut. Not all that concerned about MN21 or MN22 (year of production) stamped on caseback, but mine is MN22.

Both straps are comfortable and my preference is the thinner, rubberized fabric; the hook-n-loop is also pleasing on the wrist. For me, I can rock this watch with jeans and a t-shirt, or in dress wear (sport coat/tie) with equivalent impress.

Highly recommend the Tudor Pelagos FXD. It’s a great tool watch - and I haven’t dived or snorkeled in about 5 years, but I wouldn’t hesitate to submerge this beauty!

In my opinion the FXD is probably the best specific-purpose tool watch on the market at the moment.

But I'd argue it's about as far from a GADA watch as it gets!

Fair position, and I can support. But I plan on making this my “daily driver” for the foreseeable future.

Have a great weekend, and shoot ‘em straight, Archer!

Beautiful watch. You don't have to worry about the snowflake blocking any complications! I see you included a photo of your tattoo so you made me curious. Care to explain the meaning?

For sure. It’s a motivational message stemming (pun intended) from the famous Shel Silverstein book “The Giving Tree.” I can always give more, put forth more effort, persevere. Thanks for asking. Happy weekend to you!

That is an awesome watch and my favorite Tudor. Very cool. I went with the Sinn U1 blue and that Tudor is (IMHO) it's only competition!

Thanks for the note. Your U1 is a beautiful piece. Some day I hope to have a Sinn on my wrist. Happy weekend to you.

Great choice and congratulations on getting one! I love mine and almost haven’t taken it off in the last 6 months. As you said a true GADA watch.

Wow! Incredible photo! Can you reply with the location?

Glad to hear you’re equally satisfied with your Pelagos FXD. I predict mine will also be on wrist for the next six months!

Cheers, mate. And have a good weekend.

Although I really like like the watch, the Sinn UX will always occupy this spot for me. Tegimented case, temperature stabilized accurate quartz movement, oil filled and 5000m water resistant

That’s a perfectly suitable and relevant characterization you use - “frank confidence” in design. Taking it a step further, I was pleased to see Tudor omit the helium escape valve on the FXD. Are deep divers really going to use their Pelagos for mixed gas, deep dives? I doubt it. So why would I want that functionality? Seems to me it’s a solution looking for a problem.

I was sold on the FXD’s case material (titanium), fixed lugs, impressive lume, and handsomely clean design. And I’m definitely attracted to select other Tudors, too. The 1926, for instance holds strong appeal.

Thanks for the note, mate. Have a good weekend 👍

Have you ever taken a look on the Tutima M2 Seven Seas in deepblue?

An absolutely stunning watch! Looks simply perfect in every way. Congratulations!

Thanks very much, Bjoern. This one will be on my wrist for the long haul. Hope you’re having an enjoyable weekend. 👍

FreshPots, did you get this from your AD? I’ve been waiting since last September and they haven’t had a single FXD come through. This is an AD with now Chronos and BB Pros coming through into the display case, in a popular area. I may go through aftermarket but we’ll see, hoping to get this through my AD.

Beautiful watch! I'm itching for a new Titanium piece. Tudor and Grand Seiko keep trading places on my short list. Love the look of this watch

You won’t go wrong with either GS or the FXD. Still on my list is a Spring Drive GS. Thanks for the note. 👍

Yes, indeed, stebes. My AD has only had 3 FXD’s come in since inception, and I was lucky enough to grab their third just hours after it arrived. Thanks for the note and good luck - you’ll get it, hopefully soon. 👍
