I finally got a Speedy 🌚 Let me explain why…
Happy #speedytuesday everyone 🌖 For several years the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch could not find a way into my collection. I always loved the watch and found it very sexy on the wrist of other collectors. Always respected the decision of these people to not buy a Rolex 😅 and opting for an Omega Speedmaster instead. The community of Speedy fans have also been very passionate and pleasant people. But apart from not being a fan of the Chronograph function and the dial layout/design that comes with this feature, I always had an issue with the size of the watch, the fitting and especially the thick, untapered bracelet. Sadly! Purely from the looks I always loved the vintage models, especially. But with the latest update of the Moonwatch, Omega opened the door for me, finally! And once I found out that you can easily swap the bracelet for the rubber strap of the Moonshine Gold Speedy, there was no way back! I could not resist and got the watch on the new bracelet + the rubber strap on top. And I could not be happier to now wear the most beautiful chrono there is (imho). By the way - funny that Omega now official equips the new white Speedy with a rubber strap! Well done, guys 👋🏻One more time you listened to the market/community and gave them what they wished for. Even, if I do feel a bit less special with my rubber strap trick 😅 What is your experience with the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch? 🤔🤔🤔

Like you I have long admired it but have always struggled with the sizing. My wrist is only a little smaller than yours.

Yes, that was one of the main reasons why I considered to buy the (new) Speedy in the first place. They finally stepped up the bracelet game!
