Wandering about for wet watch pics in the rain.
This started as a photo contest submission, but it grew in scope and I so thought a wider audience might enjoy. So now it’s a post.
Vancouver BC:
It’s dark and POURING today. It’s even cold again, but I feel Ok.
Rain is hammering is on the roof and the world outside is gray, but for me it’s beautiful and I appreciate the weather today.
Ok, lame poetry over. I went for a long walk in the rain today. Got soaked, but I love our green city when it’s wet, quiet, and free of crowds.
Still working on becoming a better photog, this is part of that ongoing project. lighting turns to be much harder on dark gray days with diffuse dim lighting
Brought several brave watches on the wandering photo shoot: here’s some of the pics
got lucky and found some raspberries and blackberries in bushes by the ocean, so they became both subject matter and sustenance
Towards the end, both me and watches were soaked and cold - kudos the brave no WR Kurono for sticking it out 😉
Finally back under cover again 😅
I guess growing up here I always kind of feel at home with dark skies. It can even lift my spirits if I’ve been away for a while.

Nice post! As a fellow PNWer I can relate to how nice the area can be when all the greens are saturated with rainfall. Really digging photo 2 and hope that the leather strap came out of this no worse for wear 😂

It's raining right now in Seattle and I didn't realize how much I've missed it.

The fires are in the interior of BC - so I’m not sure it’s raining there, but I certainly hope so.
Due to westerlies, we’ve had zero days of smoke in greater Vancouver this year (knock on not burning wood). so I think nothing to worry about!
Next week will be gorgeous and around 23 Celsius - super comfy 👍

Not ideal but expect all leather straps get wet now and then. Sweat, rain and the first few seconds of a shower: part of life!

We had that stretch of no rain last summer that set records and it got scary after a couple months of no rain
