Go for the Spirit and you will not regret. I have both. I love them, but Spirit is much more GADA than the LD. 

The Spirit has much better caliber (COSC, 72hr reserve), better bracelet, and easier to wear…

Now for the winter I prefer leather straps to bracelet. Besides, I love to try combinations with straps, until one clicks. 
 

That C63 in black is a strap-monster, so try some and enjoy a new watch often. 

For me it's not an Explorer alternative, as it is much more tool watch, kinda field. Other quality, other finishing… it's simply on another range. An under-radar watch, which is great for me. 

Finally I got two Manhattan 37!! 😀

Two-into-one!! 😁 Because it’s the same watch, just under different light angles. It goes from vivid blue to almost black, due to the dial design. Impressive. And very very legible in any circumstance. Very nice, very good work. 

The case and bracelet are very comfortable, love the size on my 18mm wrist. Very good watch for the money.

I heard that Tricompax would be available again, non limited but without the set of two chronos, and that case looks like that… 

I tried to get it (Blue Roulette, Baltic x A Collected Man), but couldn't 😢 It flew in less than one minute!! It's nice, but dial is less interesting (for me, IMHO), without applied numbers... 

There is also a stunning green one, Baltic x Perpétuel (Arab Emirates), but flew in seconds too, despite being more expensive (about 1000€ after taxes, import fees... and it doesn't worth that price, honestly):
