Tissot Gentleman is great watch, very good detail on the dial with a nice Clous de Paris pattern, 80 hour reserve, also look at the LeLocle, also very classic dress watch, with a nice heritage, that case back always leave me astounded. If you not completely sold on Automatic and will consider quartz, look at the Longines Presence, if you happy to splurge a bit more look at the Rado Coupole Classic Automatic.
The Hamilton Field Khaki is not much of dress watch, more of a Field watch, consider one of the Jazzmasters, especially the openhearts, they look really good.
I think the bottom line is that you need to get what you will enjoy, go explore, put a few on your wrist, have fun, then decide, it is not about the price you pay, it is about the enjoyment you get out of wearing that specific watch.
