Why do the V8 and Gentleman do not get more love, if you look at the dials on these, they stunning, 80 hour reserve movement, swiss, what more do you need for under $1000

I'm not sure of the reason you asked, but the one you pictured is a swissmatic, which is basically the movement in the Swatch System51, not the Powermatic.

These movements are known to be not serviceable, which means when it doesn't work anymore you basically trash it in the bin. Maybe one explanation among others ?

The Gentleman is considered to be an excellent value Swiss watch. However, dress watches get much less attention right now than sports watches, and subsequently, the much cheaper Orient Bambino gets most of the love for a value based dress piece.

I'd have a gentleman in green if it weren't for the 21mm lug width, deal breaker for me.

I have a V8 and love it. With that said @Guyllheaume is correct. That is the correct movement and it is not serviceable. The case back does not open up. Once there is an issue, it becomes a paperweight.

I really like the look of the V8, I got a gentleman, I am really amazed about the reserve on it

That’s awesome! Those are classy looking Tissot’s. I really enjoy my V8.
