Rolex from 9/11. #neverforget

This Rolex was recovered from the crash of Flight 93 that was hijacked by 4 terrorists at 9:28am on September 11 2001. It belonged to passenger Todd M. Beamer and the date keeper still shows 11.

I will always remember being in the common room at my university student center with the TVs on and the broadcasters talking about an accidental plane crash into the North Tower.

Minutes later I was staring at the TV with others when the second plane struck the South Tower. Everything changed.

The TVs quickly became swarmed as people realized what we were witnessing. It was so surreal and shocking. Such a feeling I am still vividly revisiting as I write this.

We honor the police, firefighters, first responders, and all the innocent lives that were lost that day.

Wow, if that's not the heaviest watch I've ever seen.

The "let's roll" story of how Flight 93 came to be scattered across PA is indeed unbelievable.

So does anyone know what this thing is? Teaked dial and a bezel?

I think it may be a Turnograph as it has a timing bezel

I just woke up from working the swing shift at a call center for Sprint the night before.  It was there, live on the news on our 60" CRT TV, larger than life when my sister and I watched the 2nd plane struck the 2nd tower.

I woke up to this (left the tv on when fell asleep) took me a while to figure out what the heck was happening.... it was a very upsetting day...    so much loss and pain    /RIP

amazing watch. a piece of history.  my 9/11 memory - was an student perfusionist in an cardiac operating room in Edmonton Alberta   - we all took intermittent breaks to run out into a break room to watch a black and white CRT showing the horror.
