Hi Watch Crunch Fam!
What are your upcoming watch collecting goals for 2024?
Personally, I’m looking to downsize my collection. Ideally, I’d like to have around 6-10 watches. At this time, I have 35 watches in total (not pictured, my Zodiac Super Seawolf Compressor in Black
DLC coating). I’ve purchased these over the last 3 years, most in the entry level (sub $500).
As I’ve better discovered my preferences and interests I’ve begun developing my favorites and have stopped wearing others. I’d like to sell off these watches to fund one of my grails, the Tudor Black Bay 58.
My current favorites in the collection are:
Seiko SKX007
Hamilton Khaki Field Auto 38mm
Marathon TSAR
Seiko Speedtimer
Seiko Willard
Citizen Promaster Automatic
G-Shock GW-6900
Here’s to 2024! Hope we all have much love and prosperity this year!

Very reasonable goals and wish you luck. As for me:
Will likely trade a few watches I do not wear often towards better pieces.
Similarly, limit the number of inexpensive pieces I pick up to take advantage of a market correction within the independent space.
Focus on upgrading storage and safety.
Those 7 you listed are, as a whole, a good well rounded collection. I learned alot in 2023 regarding what I like and don't like. This year I will sell any piece that hasn't seen wrist time in the last month, and I will try my hardest to save my money for one big purchase, i.e the Longines spirit 37mm.
Pretty simple for me. Hopefully pick up a few things I like without breaking the bank! Also to successfully incorporate regular watch content into my menswear/footwear YT channel!
I wish to have no desire to actually buy another watch this year. If anything, maybe downsize.
My goal is to sell a few of my current collection, make smarter financial decisions, and hopefully by the end of 2024, get my grail watch: The Accutron Spceview 2020😍
Adding a couple Zelos and a Helm Miyako # 918 in line. Give away a few as gifts to friends.
That’s a lot of watches. My goal is to get a luxury watch

Thanks man! I’ll have to get the ones I want to keep in a separate watch box and eliminate the other watches one by one.

Good luck my friend! Im sure you’ll make some awesome content, will definitely check it out 👍🏽

Good luck on your grail!🙌🏽

Hopefully turn some of those friends into watch people as well after gifting 🎁

Really appreciate that! Will certainly try my best. I learn/iterate/improve quickly! :)

Honestly… I have no clue how my collection got this big 🙃
Downsize? Whats that mean? 🤔😬
Good luck downsizing. The 7 you've chosen make a nice sized collection.
Mine are:
1. Getting my Speedmaster back. Serviced and refurbished.
2. Solidifying a 3 + 1 collection starting with purchasing a watch for my birthday this year.
3. Take a deep dive into microbrands (research not purchase).
In 2024 I want to try:
A new field watch
A red watch
A solar watch
A moonphase watch
Let's see what I can make of it
Goals for me are to downsize from 20 to 12 and only 1 automatic purchase a year from now on. Quality over quantity!
Your objective is my aim for 2024 as well. I own over 20 watches and I believe ultimately 10-12 is my goal #. I plan on being really intentional with my choices this year. I can't wait to build a collection that I have more of a connection to.
Goal 1) have enough quality watches for it to be considered a collection.
Goal 2) don’t go bankrupt in the process

How much longer until you get your Speedmaster ? And do you know what watch you want for your birthday?

Good luck! There’s a lot of good choices out there. In terms of red dial watch, do you have one in mind?

You got this ! 🫡

Unsure about the Speedy timeframe. Sourcing parts for the movement from Omega and finding the right period correct bezel could take who knows how long.
Still deciding on a bday watch 🥳

Aliexpress brands but really good quality for the price. Actually the Tandorio is pretty amazing with NH35, 200m WR and sapphire crystal. The other one is more basic quartz but still looks nice.
