I have lots of watches with different straps: rubber, leather, stainless steal etc. What are your favorite watch straps? To be honest leather ones are the most comfortable .
Usually a NATO (actually just bought another CWC mil-spec elastic NATO 5 mins ago)
But do enjoy a good quality Sailcloth (Artem loopless), big fan of Staib Milanese, tho latest purchases are Forstner Komfit and Bonklip bracelets and I'm finding those very comfortable and lightweight.
It’s not that I don’t like leather straps, but I like to pretty much wear my watches all the time, wake, sleep, shower, beach, mountains, and everywhere in between - I just feel that with leather straps, I’d have to remove it when doing some normal day to day stuff - shower, doing dishes, etc.
That being said, I do think a nice leather strap would work on some occasions - weddings, fancy soirée - but I’d generally go with a metal straps in those occasions, myself.
For me it's all about the nato strap. I find them more comfortable because they fit perfectly and don't wiggle around. I like the asymmetry of the extra piece you tuck in. I like the massive variety of textures and colors you can find. I love the way you can change them so quickly and easily. I prefer sharkfin straps by #blushark . They are a bit higher than others i've tried but they are always my gold standard to compare to, quality-wise.
I like leather and sailcloth too, but to a much lesser extent. I think I'd like to try a grey suede strap some time... I haven't seen a rubber strap I'd like to purchase yet but I'm sure there's something cool out there.

Depends on the situation.

This MAY be a hot take - but leather straps are my least favorite straps to have on a watch. I’d rank my preferences of straps like so:
Metal Bracelets (the Monta bracelets are *chefs kiss* so good
Silicone/rubber
Seatbelt Nylon/NATO
Canvas/Sailcloth
Leather

My list is the exact opposite of yours 😂
Not accounting for craftsmanship, of course. A quality bracelet will be more comfortable than a budget leather, and vice versa, etc.
For me it’s a question of bracelet or leather. Occasionally rubber and canvas. Natos in all shapes and forms primarily in a drawer.
Rubber or FKM in the summer and leather in the winter for me.
Nothing beats a leather strap for me.
I usually wear my watches on a bracelet, but when I want a good leather strap - @twostitchstraps.
