What Seiko?!

I do not yet own a Seiko and never have. The green dial prospex alpinist holds the most appeal but what are some other Seiko models to consider?

SPB143 for some reason is absolutely gorgeous in my eyes.

Dude there are so many

There are countless Seikos that I’d absolutely love. Given you like the classic SARB017, why not get the new GMT version, SBEJ005. This whole line is pretty great.

All the Seikos

Pick up an SKX009 and have an NH movement installed as well as a sapphire crystal and you’ll have the Seiko “itch” scratched. Just kidding you’ll want a bunch more after that! Good luck!

Seiko Presage Sharp Edge; nice affordable Grand Seiko alternative. Lovely deep waffle style dial.

There is a Seiko in every style and every budget range. What are you looking for it particular? A budget and style of watch could help give you some good suggestions.

I would go for iconic divers such as the MM200 (SPB187) or 62MAS (SPB143), or original "grammar of design" dress watch with a timeless King Seiko. If your budget allows for it that is, otherwise you'll be very happy with a more affordable 5KX or DressKX. 👌

You can own many and not even scratch the surface of Seiko. And they have great nicknames.

Yes, the GMT complication fits nicely with the watch design, very tempting, I didn't know there is a green version, is it limited edition?

So many offerings, one could have a fine collection of nothing but Seikos. I have two 5 Sports, SSK and SPRD, but admit an Alpinist would be a lovely addition.

Like the original green Sarb, it is a Japanese market exclusive, but if you google the reference number, you’ll find plenty of Japanese ADs willing to ship, many for free.
