It’s time to swap the battery. Should I pressure test?

I pulled from the drawer my Shark Hammerhead, this rooster-crowing morning, and spied the infamous two-ticks-per second low battery warning calling from its dial.

I no longer dive deeper than to the bottom of the bathtub looking for my Irish Spring, so would you guys just change the damn battery or pay to get it pressure tested? When I was younger, I was far more obsessive about things, but age has dried my senses a bit…like a slab of cold corn bread that’s become woefully crusty ‘round the edges.

Thanks in advance as I deal with this new life dilemma with a very hot cup of very black coffee.

No test. Live on the edge.

I, for one, like to live dangerously. Swap that battery and forget about it

Check and clean the gasket, a bit of silicon lubricant, and don't worry about it.

The blade of my life has dulled…but you offer sound advice.

I guess that’s best…isn’t it?

You think I can substitute a drop of mineral oil for the silicon?

Unfortunately no, mineral oil is different. You want something that stays in place. AliExpress has a little can/applicator for a couple of bucks.

I’ll get it. Thanks much for the feedback.

Inspect the gasket, lube it up as others said, switch the batt, call it a day.

Ditto on the silly-cone lubricant ... hardware stores carry that stuff too 👍

I feel you, after the battery change this is about as wet as it gets 😂
