Casio ALT-6100: One of the First Multi-Sensors. Show us Yours!

During my Junior year in college in 1992, I avidly rode up and down every mountain I could with my Specialized Rock Hopper Comp. My pals and I would drive to Moab a couple times a month and would pitch our tents atop sand bars nestled between endless slick rock dunes…and then ride, ride…ride. Great times that have fizzled away…just like my once muscled legs.

During this ‘heyday’ of health and youth, I longed for an altimeter to accompany my rides so I could measure not only distance on my cycle computer…but elevation as well. I was already a Casio fan and saw in a magazine their brand new twin sensor watches — the ultimate in design and technology. A couple hundred bucks and a couple of weeks later, my ALT-6100 arrived in the mailbox!

I just cleaned up this 30 year old vintage twin sensor and fitted a new band I think looks pretty snazzy (as the original perished…bless its soul).

Do you own a vintage Casio (or other brand) multi sensor watch you want to show us?

Don’t own a vintage multi-sensor but this is making me wanna find a headband and a Sony CD player with at least 60 seconds of “skip protection“ for a hike. Some very tempting listings on Ebay.

My current G-Shock Rangeman doesn’t have a radiator-sized sensor on the left and the nostalgia is lost.
