Casio AE1200... is there a better digital watch?

I have 2x Casio AE1200s, both on Vario straps with some text deletion just to clean up the clutter.

Is there a digital watch that compares in terms of functionality, aesthetics and price? Is there honestly a better digital Casio? (excluding G-Shocks).

(I've had to caveat this digital... not trying to compete with the Duro here!)

Only the AE-1300. 😉

Yeah but you don't get a cool little world map that you can't read, instead you get those three football shaped countdown timer things. Nah, I reckon 1200 beats 1300 👊

Is there a better digital watch? Yes, many. Is there a better digital watch for the money you’re spending on the Royals? No. There’s always “better” but you often pay for that.

Get both! I just wish the “analog” clock in the upper-left were easier for my aged eyes to read…

Also excluding the Pathfinder/ProTrek line, then I don't think so. They also make the world timer in a round case, but I think the square case looks nicer.

Definitely my favorite

That being said, I have one and I love it.

To your question "Is there a digital watch that compares in terms of functionality, aesthetics and price?" I would say yes yes and definite no (including G's lol). The price of the AE1200 is absolutely unbeatable. There are a few digital watches I like better that do the same or very similar but they cannot compare on price, not even close. To cap it all the AE1200 is a rather excellent watch. It could be argued for the price it's a one watch does everything.

solely my opinion. For people with senile vision changes, it is better suited than others. premium materials used in stock. The absence of small debris and unused parts on the screen is practically non-existent. If you do not insert the inner plastic frame under the glass of the screen, the view of the screen becomes even more open and the readability of the readings is maximum. drum roll :) :) :) DW-291 + skxmod.com my choice: retro green-gold screen of the module and an absolutely sterile version on all sides and a sterile back cover, no branding and crazy inscriptions, that's enough ;) better than this in total I haven’t found my parameters and desires at the moment. I can confidently recommend it. P.S. readability is better on a module with a regular gray screen, but I have no problems with this and I wanted a green-gold retro one ;) skxmod - you need to add a metal frame to the product range covering the edges of the module, I would buy a completely polished steel one, but without a frame good enough because Smells like steampunk or cypherpunk or something like that.
