I always use the counter clockwise turn before engaging with threading as too make sure I don't do that.
Ironically I had two watches sent too me with this issue but as I learned the crown dosnt have to be flush with case for the water resistance seals to do their thing I just ignore it as a QC issue. If it dosnt actually comprise the life of the watch it is but a minor annoyance too me it
The seal that is in the crown interfaces with the top of the tube so even if it dosnt become flush with the case at the bottom it is still screwed down.
