I think it really depends on you.
I’m 16,5 cm / 6,5” give or take and I have mostly 40mm cases.
My wrists are flat and the right indicator for me is lug-to-lug around 48mm.
Width doesn’t determine as much I believe, unless you have a big pointy crown.
Speaking of point and shot, I can’t take that little Ricoh GRiiix out of my head.
Close to 50mm at 2.8f and can actually fit into a back pocket.

My grandfather had one of these, he picked it up from the factory in Milan. Apparently that was more common practice back in those days.
Oooh yeah, many intersections merging into my eccentric interests.
My arch has been a bit different these past years and one cool intersection I had revolved around a designer I’m a big fan of, Giorgetto Giugiaro.
I have a Seiko designed by him, a Nikon F3 also penned by him and a bucket load of 1/64 scale of his best car designs.
While I only collect watches and 1/64’s, it’s inevitable to relate towards these objects with the same enthusiasm.

I’m sharing it with my dad and he is enjoying it a lot.
It’s definitely my choice for proper field work.
Don’t want to seem trashy but bling and Brazil don’t always match.
I say it with affection to my friends there but in full knowledge of the reality there.

If you want a worry free experience take something fun and colorful but still dressy and not overly expensive.
Here’s something fun, which admittedly I have no experience with, but would definitely give it a go in your circumstances 😉
