The Swatch x Stealth collection ... what's next?
With the announcement of the black version of the Snoopy moonswatch I have two stealth/blacked out watches on my radar for purchase if money and opportunity allow.
I will never own a Snoopy award Omega, and the all white Snoopy moonswatch did not speak to me, but this version does! And the other moonswatch versions did not have me jumping for joy as I have a SpeedyPro from my lovely wife as my wedding day gift, so only the Snoopy party puts it on the list (big childhood Snoopy fan).
The same for the Swatch Blancpain, I will never own a Blancpain but I can get this and again the all black version speaks to me the most (which is weird as I have no all black watches in the collection).
So with an all black Swatch x Omega chronograph and Swatch x Blancpain dive watch, what will they do next ... an all black field watch collaboration or maybe something really out there, an all black dress watch collaboration?

I ended up making a small line for the white Snoopy. They probably had 30 watches in stock (what a shocker). I came out with the Blancpain as a consolation prize and as soon I picked it up... I put it back in the pouch and put it on eBay. It felt like a $400 toy to be honest.
Insofar as plastic swatches go, the SwatchPain is a better made watch with an automatic movement.
Why are they not more popular?
Granted, they didn't have the same assortment of neutral colourways which I imagine put off quite a few potential buyers. But with this black one, had their popularity increased I wonder?
I don't think they're done with the Speedies. Ultraman, Tin Tin, CK 2998 - in fact any with a unique and recognisable dial are candidates.

That's a shame as I have always wanted a Sistem51 movement but get put off by it not being repairable. Going to have to get myself to a swatch store stocking them and get hands on.

Selling online if you make 40/30 bucks that's a lot after fees so I'm not sure why would anyone go through all that trouble (I'm sure there's more loopholes). I really wanted to keep the watch it was not a profit purchase.
As soon I bought the Swatch this came in literally the same day:
This Spinnaker runs laps on the swatch blancpain just on build quality. Maybe i regret my sell down the line.

I think you will like it. I'm always looking for options and at $400 after I received this Spinnaker in the mail it was hard to justify the plastic build. Now the Snoopy that's a keeper LOL!

That blacked out snoopy caught my eye faster than the white out version.
