Recommended metal bracelet for small wrists?

I'm considering getting the Vaer A3 Atlas 36mm as my next watch. (https://www.vaerwatches.com/products/a3-atlas-navy) I want to get a metal bracelet to go with it, but not sure whether to go for the standard (oyster) style bracelet or the jubilee?

I've got an Uncle Seiko President bracelet on my Seiko SRPE which is pretty good. But the President isn't an option here hence my question.

In terms of style I keep going back and forwards, so the deciding factor for me is comfort and fit. My wrist is somewhere between 6 inches and 6.25 inches.

Would appreciate any experiences with either type of bracelet (bonus if you have/had a Vaer). Thanks!

I'd love to help, but the only bracelet I have experience with is the default Vostok bracelet which fits like a glove on my 14-15 cm wrist (after I took 6 links off)

·

I am not familiar with Vaer bracelets specifically, but I feel that the jubilee is more comfortable and provides a better fit, at least in my own experience. The Vaer oyster does appear to be a true three link oyster so it may be more comfortable than the oyster bracelets I have, which are not true three link bracelets.

·

More/smaller pieces of metal = greater flexibility/comfort.  I'd go for the Jubliee if that's your primary concern.

·

my suggestion is go for oyster bracelet, looks more sporty

I thought that might be the case considering my experience with the president bracelet. Thanks!

Good info about the oyster bracelet, will take a closer look. Thanks!

First off, great choice with the A3, bud! 🍻 I'm actually planning to get the C3 Navy very soon.

To your question, I do know that Vaer's founders have confirmed in one of their newsletters, that the oyster and jubilee bracelets are upgraded versions. So, I think it might be good to email them first, and ask if the oyster links fully articulate, and to ask for a photo that shows it. If so, then either bracelet will be comfortable.

Below is a super cheap oyster bracelet I got from Lazada, for my Seiko SNKL41. I was pleasantly surprised how it fully articulates, and it's super comfortable on my equally small 6.25-inch circumference & 51mm flat-width wrist.

Thanks for the information! I have seen Traska's oyster bracelet which fully articulates and wondered if the Vaer one does too.

I probably will contact Vaer soon about their bracelets.

Yupyup, I'm sure they will eagerly try to answer your query, as they seemingly do very good customer engagement. We will eagerly await your posts when your A3 arrives. Cheers! 🍻

Got a response from Vaer. They didn't answer my question specifically about the Oyster bracelet. But did confirm the suitability of the Jubilee bracelet. The responder has smaller wrists than me and is wearing the Atlas on the jubilee.

Likely to order it next week.

Awesome! Go for it, bud! It's a really great looking piece with robust specs. Can't wait to see your photos next week. Advanced cheers! 🍻

Just placed the order! Now hoping that UK customs aren't overzealous! 🙏

Congrats and cheers! 🍻 Yeah, let's hope they're on a lazy day that day. It's the same concern I have when I place my order soon. Kindly let us know how it goes. Looking forward to your photos, bud.👍🏼

It's here! Customs was pretty much what I expected. Rather I didn't have to pay, but the amount made sense. Also quick delivery.

So watch itself is a great fit and nice and light for a stainless steel automatic.

Only problem is that whilst the bracelet is easy to resize, the last link I need to get out the screw is stuck! So going to the watch maker tomorrow.

Looks wonderful with the bracelet on! Got a good fit too with a spare micro adjustment hole for winter.

The watchmaker also had a difficult time getting the screw out of the last link, so glad it wasn't just me!

Also at first he asked if the watch is Swiss 😎 He was equally impressed when I said about the Miyota movement.

Woot, woot!! Looks really cool! 😎 Both the blue FKM strap and jubilee bracelet complement the piece quite well. 💯 I'm sure with better light, the sunburst dial will pop out wonderfully. Yeah, some screws on links can be tough. Might be good to give your feedback to Vaer. Congrats again, and enjoy bud! 🍻🥳

I sent them a message yesterday letting them know, which they thanked me for. Also turns out that I seemed to have got one of the last ones as they are now out of stock.
