Well, these are fashion watches so they don’t receive much love from watch enthusiasts. But if you like the style then go for it. That said, for any Fossil model you can buy a better variant with more provenance and/or craftsmanship from Seiko, Citizen, Bulova, Timex or any of the many affordable microbrands (Vario, Erebus, Wise, Traska, Baltic etc etc).

They used to be decent watches but now there's way better watches for even less.

They aren't the worst fashion brand. There's "better" watches from more respected brands for the money, but if one speaks to you, get it.

That said, I wish I hadn't bought some of the watches that spoke to me, but that's how I gained experience in what I shouldn't buy.

My daughter's boyfriend has a small collection of these watches, so I did a few battery changes for him. I think for a fashion watch, they are not bad. Probably one of the better fashion brands. Also, Fossil Group own the Zodiac brand, which is a respectable watch brand.

Don’t own one myself but they seem fine. I do have a Zodiac that’s owned by Fossil and think it’s great.

I'm pretty sure that I did own a quartz one in the past. The fact that I can't be 100% sure or that I can't recall how it looked or the model should tell you something about the kind of impact it had on me.

Sure, you can get better watches for the same money, but no one can say if they will be better for you until you provide more details.

They are not horrible in my experience. They wouldn't be my first choice, but if you like a particular design, there is no real problem with those watches.

I've owned a few and have never been disappointed. Good value for the money. Not a watch snob here. I own watches that have cost close to $2k and ones I paid less than $30. I enjoy them all. Fossil has some real gems if you look for them. A few years back they released a few Swiss automatics that were well done and they currently have Miyota autos in their lineup that look decent. The founder of Fossil started Shinola. And one thing I have noticed from both brands, though they are separately owned, is that the leather straps they use tend to be better quality than some of the higher brand watches I own.
