Have you met any Crunchers in real life (IRL)?

I only came to the Watch Crunch community in January 2024. However, over the years I have collected a few friends who like watches from work and meet ups. A couple of them are also Crunchers. I’m curious how many Crunchers are only part of the online community or if you brought friends from the real world or have met up in person after connecting online here.

I've met a handful of locals for multiple watch events. It's nice doing a little fashion show with other enthusiasts...

For me the opportunities for offline engagement IS the WC draw.

What anonymity often, but not always, produces in online discourse is something I can live without.

The 25+ Crunchers that I regularly meet up with offline display a level of manners, knowledge, thoughtfulness and respect not always present in WC threads.

To be clear though there are some anonymous posters that I admire greatly but would still love to meet offline.

The location I live in has many watch buyers but I've yet to find a like-minded collector in Doha. I'd certainly like to meet others that are similarly afflicted though.
