Do you already know your grail or are you waiting for something better to be made?

After pingponging between the likes of the Explorer, bronze Black Bay 58, Grand Seiko GMTs (both auto and quartz), I think my grail is basically the Seiko SSASS quartz GMT Alpinist with its turquoise dial, and I use grail here in the surest sense as they are basically unattainable, but I hope Seiko or GS release a quartz gmt with a green dial in the future.

If someone thinks of a rare and expensive item as a "grail" then they have problems way beyond a lack of funds.

I hate watches. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Could you please explain further.

I'm not disagreeing with you. Just interested to understand what you mean.

I don't buy expensive watches personally.

I don't believe in One Grail. I only believe in grails 😂. I couldn't name one exact model that would have been my Grail Watch, and I don't think it'll change in the future.

Grails in my mind are watches that you desire but can't afford at the moment (or worst case, you will never be able to). For me a Spring Drive Grand Seiko for example, but I was lucky enough to buy one. Now I don't know what could be next, but it's certain there won't be one exact model.

The grail is a lie.

Is he following and banging two grails together ? 😂🤣😂

Yep I know, one o my fav films I was just referencing the wooden cups he bangs together to create the horses hooves as Christs "grails" 😂😂

Having tried on exactly 1 luxury watch, a $40,000 Piaget skeleton tourbillon, I kind of get the allure of the art/good jewelry watch. That said, I think as function goes for time focused watched, I've done okay with what I have, and where I go from here, only the stars can tell. (i want my next ones to feel more old sci fi). Also I hate watches because why not.
