Happy Rolex Day Everyone

Watching and wondering about Watches & Wonders with the usual interest. Does the whole thing quickly become “what’s Rolex/Tudor doing?”. They make nice watches but some of the other brands are doing some awesome stuff too. Between Rolex and Tudor, it’s normally the latter that either excites or surprises me but why change a winning formula, right? Here’s hoping that there’s some even more interesting novelties to come during the next few days!

On wrist today: Rolex Submariner ref. 14060M (2 liner).

I think it depends where you put your focus! I look forward every year to JLC releases because they always have one watch that will dominate.

I do agree however my instagram feed and news feed and youtube feed is just Rolex and Tudor. I would suggest WatchAdvisor. There are many watches being shown that are not shown else where (at least in my sub feed).

The dial on the new JLC Master Grand Tradition Calibre 948 looks amazing. Enamel on enamel continents and the Guilloche seas! That’s before you get to the movement! Out of my price range and too big for me but it looks like it belongs in a gallery!

I'm actually more excited to see and read about what's coming out of the other brands...

The JLCs were attractive, but way too big. I think they are aimed at someone other than me. I think the 948 not only has a cool ‘earth’ dial, but likely you can see it from space.
