Gone and Forgotten

Here‘s my Seiko SARB035 on wrist today.

Discontinued along with sibling the SARB033. Japanese Domestic Model only. One of the first Seikos with the 6Rxx movement. Has a strong following even after it’s production run - much like the SKX series. When 3rd party manufacturers make accessories for it, you know there’s a following. We’ve seen Seiko replace the SKX line but will we ever see a true replacement for this? The Presage line is closest thing we have but their case/dial variations are a little different. It would be a shame to lose this fantastic model imo

It puts a smile on my face to see this watch! I was so close to getting a SARB033 in 2015 and I do regret that. Have you tried this beauty on a Perlon or a NATO strap? It will be a killer :)

@diabhey The 033 is definitely more versatile than the 035. Who knows, maybe one will come up in your future?!

I like it on a leather strap (natos/zulus) aren’t really my thing. I have a sand-coloured perlon which it sometimes goes on in the summer. I didn’t like the original bracelet that came with it so I swapped it out for this ‘president-esque’ bracelet instead

Seen a few similar in style but nothing I'd call a replacement.

Absolutely, I have a sary057 which I believe is discontinued as well but that is a solid alternative. I've definitely been looking for one but yet find a replacement
