Playing with light

The Dietrich SD-1 skindiver is good at playing with light and the early hours of the morning are always a good time to relax outside together.

It's a bit funny because before holding the SD-1 for the first time I never considered owning a Dietrich watch, and yet it's now one of my favorites.

The only negative experience I have with it so far concern the butterfly clasp, it's pretty and well finished but it's also not the best clasp to have when the wrist swells during the day. However as we get closer to winter and with the drop in temperatures, this is not going to be an issue for today.

That's beautiful!

Thank you, it is indeed one, if not the most, prettiest watch that I own.

This is such a nice watch! It looks like a slightly smaller CW C65 Aquitaine, my favorite in my collection. I just love the sapphire bezels, maybe my favorite feature. The bracelet looks great too, but I know what you mean with the butterfly clasps. Very cool.

That is one beautiful watch.

I see a few things going on there to stand it apart from other dive watches.

Is there a particular name for that style of bracelet? It looks a bit "scaley" as if it came from a metal reptile. Intriguing.

I refreshed my memory when I wrote the review of this watch but I never saw a specific name mentioned anywhere. Dietrich just call it a multilink with hexagonal elements.
