If you had to choose between only one watch movement for the rest of your life, which do you choose?

An ultra high quality Quartz is great, also with a battery that lasts 10 years...

·

Is it one watch forever, or one type of watch (multiple watches)?

·

Having had more issues with rotors than everything else put together I'll opt for a mechanical as my one and only movement.

One type I guess lol

How is it that everyone isn't choosing quartz? 🤯

·

Isn’t that Quartz?

·

I would have put Solar and and Kenetic but both average in to the options

·

Plus I doubt anybody would choose Kinetic, I had a Seiko one of that before and they are the worse because you have to replace the capacitor which isn’t worth it at all

·

Is Spring Drive considered automatic?

Is Spring Drive considered automatic?

Yes

·

It's like choosing a favorite between my kids... can't do it! 🤣

·

I always think about being stuck on a deserted island with a watch. I’d choose an automatic or a solar quartz. That way you’d always no the time without battery running out!

·

Was a hard choice I’ve got a grand seiko quartz and it would make a perfect movement for a lifetime and I think it probably will be for me

But I chose the mechanical movement because while I expect to keep the GS for ever I know for sure I’m keeping my speedmaster forever

There is no D option?! A hybrid such as the GS Spring Drive.

There is something about that sweeping seconds hands; I would just stare at it all day long.

·

Automatic, no date.

Solar quartz.
