Grandfather had some weird watches, which I later discovered were jump hour 'digital'. Watching 'Longitude' kick-started it though.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
Timex hand-wind, the standard 3 hand no date watch in the late 70s.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Take time to enjoy each watch you purchase; especially at the beginning when it's like a candy shop don't buy more than one each month, and preferably much less than that. Let your taste evolve by looking more than buying.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
I don't really do brands. Longines is putting out some stunners and I feel they're underrated. I'm interested to see the next releases from Moels and Atelier Wen.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Probably the VC 222, I couldn't face outlaying that much on a watch. Also the ALS Richard Lange Tourbillon “Pour le Merite”, imho the prettiest tourbillon ever made.
