Marathon Milspec General purpose quartz

This little 34mm watch wears much larger then you could possibly imagine. The case is made of a plastic resin that houses a good quality quartz ETA movement with tritium tube covered hands and topped off with Sapphire crystal. This watch is actually used by the American and Canadian military today!!  Anyways I just wanted to share this amazing little guy with all of you.

It's a tough little watch and it makes a lot of sense for the purpose it was created.

I like the addition of the MIL-PRF, NSN & CAGE on the caseback. Ill check at work to see if these fish in the cataloging system

They don't fish. The Cage code is correct but thats only for identification of manufacturer. Maybe its very new and isn't cataloged yet..

Seems very expensive for what’s effectively a plastic quartz, akin to a Casio. I’m clearly missing something here.
