If my daughter was into the watch I likely would have and would’ve put it in the safety deposit box. I showed it to her and she just said “meh, I like that one with the green dial better”, referring to the US limited edition grand seiko release that just came into the store. Ha.
All I’ve learned is that if your spouse isn’t into your watch hobby at the beginning, buying her a few to try and get her into the hobby likely won’t work. I could’ve bought myself what I really wanted much earlier with the money I put into her watches that just sit in a box unworn (all she wears now is a smartwatch).

Not sure exactly. I found info online that places it likely from 50s or 60s. Longines made a bunch of different variants.
Absolutely love the look and if I was in need of a dress watch this would be an immediate buy. Not in the market but I love the look of this one and am fighting some serious impulses right now…
