NWA not sure how I feel

So just got it in. I have been wanting and eyeing Tiffany blue dial watches which is different for me. I really enjoy the design of my tissot PRX so I wanted to find another like that and it came down between this one and the Seiko SUR557P1 quartz with black dial.

I went with this one because it was 40mm while the Seiko is 38.5mm and I already have a quartz PRX so I figured I would get an automatic. Now that I have it in my hands I am not sure about it and maybe the hype of the color and watch model got to my head. What does everyone think?

I have one and i absolutely love it

I got the yellow one first, then the gold one with the red dial for Christmas, these are simple colourful playful watches which I think you'll enjoy too. Best don't put it back in the box I think, find a coloured shirt that matches and you'll be the man ! The colour is still a rarity I find in reality, don't forget 99 % people have no idea about watches it seems, only other snooty watch bums like us will possibly go " oh rather passe" enjoy!

Thanks for the comment, it really does help my decision

Looks great imo. If it’s the color that’s making you second guest, I would try wearing it under different lighting conditions to see if it holds up to your expectations.

That’s what I am doing now. Not sure it is really color. I think it’s more that the case shape is tighter then the PRX or other 40mm watches like my Gevril and Gentleman so it wears smaller imo. I have a bigger wrist so not used to how it wears

·

I like it, but do you? Don't compromise if it feels meh.

That being said, I think the watch will pair well with the right attire, and of course, the right attitude.

I do like it the more I stare at it and try it on, but just something is making me half bond with it lol I think because it wears smaller than I thought or saw in reviews.

And I am normally a black or navy dial fan. I have two white dials but this dial color is definitely outside my normal lol

I am on the fense with this model. Love the look but the first one I tried on just did not sit well for me. I have tried them on again and not had that issue. I am not sure why it was off that one time.

Fun summer watch!

Leaving the colour aside for a moment (I guess this is a very personal preference), the Tsuyosa is a great watch: With a reliable automatic movement, saphire glas, glas bottom and a very comfortable presidential bracelet you get a lot of watch for 300 bucks.

·

Don't mind the color, not too crazy about the cyclops.

·

I think it is the case size and shape that’s throwing me off not the color now really. The tissot has a larger case base and makes the watch larger on the wrist.

All that really matters is how you feel. Personally, I don’t really care for the really light shades of blue. Love these watches, just not this color.

·

I really love the colour of this watch and it’s just a simple to the point design great choice..!!

·

I think these look great. Finish quality for the money is outstanding From what I’ve heard, though I have yet to handle one myself in person.

·

I think it’s the important to listen to yourself and be honest. Sometimes you think you like something, then you buy it, and it turns out you were just convinced that it was good 😣

It happened to me as well. I bought a Tiffany/ice blue dial watch only to realize that it didn’t suit me at all. I just hated it on my wrist, although I really like the colour and have nothing against it. It just wasn’t my thing. Had to sell it the following day (which had never happened to me before)…

So, in this case you have to decide for yourself. What do you feel when you are wearing it? Do you have second thoughts about it?

Personally, I think it looks great on your wrist, but what do you think about it?

What’s got you doubting? Is it the shade of color? How the dial was done?

No it’s the size. Wears smaller than I expected

Like a 38?

Yes, because the base shape is smaller then the PRX it seems to look like a 38mm to me and not a 40

Yeah, 38 is too small for me too. I ordered a Certina DS Nautic and it’s a 38mm and I’m sending it back. Too tiny!

This is still a 40mm just the way it’s shaped it wears smaller in my view point. I most likely will keep it as it is growing on me the more I look at it and try it on

·

One of my favorites in my collection

·

I think it's great. My next watch will probably be 36mm, my current watches are 40/41.

·

I think it's a great colour for a great watch as others already mentioned. Wearing smaller watches after coming from something with more wrist presence may require some time getting used to, but if you ask me it looks great on your wrist.

@degenerateWA could maybe confirm that there are actually lots of positive things about wearing smaller diameter watches ?

Lol ironically I have seen this one when I was looking at a different watch. I have decided to keep this Tsuyosa. After sizing it and wearing it for a couple hours it grew on me and I am enjoying it.

Right on. Ultimately I don't think there's such a thing as "too small/large" when talking about the general socially accepted size spectrum. Rather, it's more of a proportions issue; some watches do more with the dimensions than others, and that's the tricky nuance to try and capture in a black and white description. Really hard to do outside of actually just wearing the damn thing.

Ok quick update. I have not taken this off since I sized it. I am definitely liking it a lot now lol
