Curiosity around LIP

Been looking at this watch for some time now. It’s a 1960’s model. I know absolutely nothing about LIP other than it’s a French made watch and this dial is absolutely beautiful. If anyone in the WC knows about LIP and can fill me in that would be fantastic.

I agree with you, these indexes numerals are just amazing.

From memory LIP were a big manufacturer with a decent reputation. Think they made a watch for Winston Churchill. I think they eventually closed because of industrial relations issues.

This is a job for @Velomax

Funky! But in a good way!

I can't help you, but oh my days! That is one gorgeous watch! 😍

They are French 🥐 You are welcome 😛

I think they are very cool. Historic bran. Cool current watches too. Heritage style. I like their tank style and chrono especially. But the vintage piece you got there is fantastic 🔥

This brand has a very long history and embraces vintage looks. So I encourage looking into it as i did 2 days ago. My granddad used to wear one and now im currently looking into fixing it up.

Beautiful time piece you got.
