New video on the new Studio Underdog fieldwatch release

Finally I can take the lid of this project. I can't possibly be unbiased on these watches but I also won't pretend I'm not.. The YouTube video is just personal work (outside of the commissioned work). anyway I hope you enjoy some extra footage on this release.

I started in a field because it just felt relevant ;)

thanks for watching!

Well hello, my next watch!

Edit: seriously these are incredible

·

Amazing professional video. The Birds Eye shot was really cool and I really appreciate you adding the photography with the watches withought a strap and just the watch it’s self. Sometimes early on enthusiasts forget to focus on just the watch and appreciate the strap as more of an accessory unless it’s a bracelet that has focused finishing.

·

I was not expecting this release, thought it would be another diver based on the case back. The crystal disk sandwich dial with floating numerals is awesome and you captured it in camera so well. Great video.

·

Brilliant video and I love these watches.

Instantly I thought I would go for the lemonade - but now you have me questioning if the moon would be better.

Could you tell us a bit more about your order of preference and why?

thank you !

that intro sequence was just an hour of outdoor time when a buddy of mine came by to show his defender. it was good to catch some outside air :)

usually the first thing I do is try different straps .. i kinda chickened out in this case tho ...

professional courtesy ;)

Mate, awesome that you got commissioned to photograph the watches they’re stunning! I love the way the sandwich dial works, great way to play with indices and the minute track. I dislike seeing when watches print on the crystal itself, but when it’s applied like this on a separate crystal, surprisingly works well. Great video and pics also mate 🍣

thanks ..

yeah that caseback might leave some confused 🙂

the watch has a good water resistance and is a nod to the translucent sapphire dial. he talks about in on the website too. and if you haven't already there is also a scotisch watches episode

My personal preference (from 1 to 40

moon, just legible and fun when the lume comes out

steffany, love the orange accent

lemonade, the most underdog but I guess I'm a boring fish.. and for the chrono I also chose a safer colour

midnight, I think Richard made it clear what I think on the press release :)

·

Am I right in thinking Christopher ward helped with the sapphire dial, I think I remember reading that somewhere. Hopefully they add some more colours to the range soon blue/sand blue/green or blue/purple would be good or their watermelon.

Thanks mate. Yeah this is nothing like a print on a dial. I’ve seen some badly executed prints on skeletonised watches too. This is done way better

Maybe I should get on board with Steffeny as the best mix of fun but not too fun..

Ahhh, I just blew my budget for the year on another watch …help me!!! 🤣😂

·

Was not what I was expecting. But really interesting release. I've always loved me some pink lemonade.

·

Cool watch, but I'm surprised those screws weren't handled in a more creative and attractive way.

maybe R. Thought. Screw it. Form follows function 😅

Yes, but we're talking about Studio Underdog, known for their creative and playful designs. Seems odd to slap exposed screw heads in and call it a day.

I might not make it to Christmas if the wife finds out how much I spent 😂🤣

·

Live the design, I only wish it didn't have a cheesy "underd0g" on the dial
