First post here, greetings everyone! My father and I have shared our interest in watches for decades. We’re all over the map, Seiko, Sinn, Omega, no b...
FWIW I was that guy. Saved up for a Sub (big dive watch nerd and always wanted a Sub) and went in on a whim to my local AD and it arrived 3 months later. No ass-kissing, no chocolate deliveries, just one visit and then BAM! It can happen, just need to find the right AD I guess?
Genta had one solid design and the rest are either modified copies of that one design or downright abominations. And while I appreciate the craftsmanship of a Patek 99% of their designs make me drowsy at their sight; truly “old man” watches.
Congratulations, it looks great on you! I too was able to get my Sub after quite a challenging few years. What fun is life if we can’t take pleasure in these small distractions from time to time?
Older Revue Thommen’s are an insane value. I have the titanium Airspeed quartz chronograph and it’s a fun way to scratch the itch for a vintage military-style chronograph.
