I need a strap for fixed lugs, any recommandation?
Hi, I just got serviced this family watch and I need a strap to enjoy it ! The lugs are fixed, this is a very old watch and a nice leather would be perfect it I think (the current strap is pretty worn out).
The lugs are 15mm wide, another problem is that it is difficult to get the right size, de you think a 16mm would do the job ? I fear a 14mm would be too little...
I don't have the money yet but I will eventually have a custom strap made, I want to wear it before ;)

Hirsh makes so called open ended watch straps for fixed lug and trench watches. You can find them on the above site, eBay, and probably direct from Hirsch as well. An appropriate width NATO will also work.
Wow $154 for the watch band above? If it was me and I couldn't find what I wanted at a reasonable price I would probably end up at Etsy. There are plenty of individuals for instance from Vietnam who will make a watch band to-your specific order at half the cost. I've used a couple of different ones on several occasions and was completely satisfied. You also may want to check out the watch company called Vario. They have watch bands specifically for that type of watch in the style of a Bund band for their trench watches.
I have an older omega from the late 30s with Fixed lugs - I got a Barton Leather Nato at 16mm and it works really well - it’s not too expensive like 30$ or so

I recently purchased two leather nato straps and they are now my favorite straps at the moment. What a cool piece and the meaning behind is even cooler. Definitely do the homework and get a nice quality leather for it regardless of what kind. 🤙🏼👊🏼

There are literally hundreds.. search on Google for Etsy.. type in custom handmade leather watch band. Stick with 4.9 to 5 star rated sellers of course. I've never really had a problem. Pick out the size style and color and type of weather you want. In addition to Vietnam I've also used some Sellers from Russia.
