Drop shippers on Ebay?

Just got into checking out watches on the second hand and noticed two sellers with the same exact 10 pictures. Curous about this I messeged both. One claims their pictures were stolen the other says they are drop shipping. They both have great ratings but either way it just seems shady.

Never heard of this. eBay supposed to be the exact item. I’d trust the one that says the other stole their pictures lol

He said he couldnt take more pictures of the watch because its “in storage”. Cant say he is scamming or drop shipping but dont want to chance it

Alibaba is the dropshipping place to go. Want a logo? no problem. Ebay had dropshippers from back in the 90's. A guy in my city would sell little wifi cameras and the Chinese company would ship to them to your door.

Sounds "fugazi" to me. Buy the seller, not just the watch. I can't say enough for Ebay's "Authenticity Guarantee." LOL

Not a fan of them

I would report them. I come across this from time to time, they are quick to take them down. I always right click "search by image" before any ebay sale. Couple reasons, they may be selling it off platform cheaper, but more often than not it is a reused image.

I see this all the time, particularly with pre-owned watches from Japanese sellers, often at wildly different prices. I think the reason is there are multiple dealers selling stock of a single warehouse/buyer/middleman/whatever. That way, the sellers can advertise a larger selection of stock than they may be able to otherwise afford to have on hand. So yeah, drop-shipping of sorts.

Another explanation is that a single seller has multiple accounts/stores.

That makes sense.
