Brew brewing coffee in space

I guess your a serous brand when you can afford to do this for advertising! Pretty cool ive only seen higher end brands do this sort of thing.

Fun marketing stunt indeed. But it's most likely a three way split between Brew, Ascaso and SentIntoSpace. Still fun though 😜

See that’s the stuff that makes people want to buy the brand 🤣✌🏻and I’m all here for it

Watchessssss innnnnnn spaaaaaaaceeeeee

I actually love this, great marketing fun.

It actually not as expensive as you might think. They just use weather balloons and that doesn’t cost much more than the camera and other equipment. I mean adding activation at elevation definitely “elevates” the marketing material but still…

I think it’s a fun marketing stunt but doesn’t mean much outside of that.

Looks fun, but I doubt the taste would be good

I love my Brew watches, but the engineer in me has questions. At 100,000’ the boiling point of water is well below 160 deg F. The ambient temperature is -51 deg F. So an extracted shot should be steam that freezes immediately… How is there liquid coffee dispensing into that cup? 🧐

At 100 000 feet liquid water can just about exist I believe. The pressure is roughly 10mbar so water boils at 7 degrees Celsius and freezes at 0 degrees Celsius. If you pour water at around the boiling point it might look real. sublimation is a thing below the triple point which is at roughly 6mbar (the pressure part that is). Could be the reason for why they did it at that altitude. Mind you the ISS is waaaay up higher.

I may be wrong, science class was a long time ago.

Thanks. Found that but not much in the way of details.

·

Ok this is just plain cool.

I guess that makes #brew out of this world. 🤣
