Watch nut. Too many really but I very much enjoy the diversity of my collection. I like modern and vintage, particularly any vintage with a sub dial. Into homages as I feel they give the look without the expense and worry of the real thing. Only my opinion. If you have the genuine article then good luck to you!
Spent my whole life with only a few watches. Worked hard and long hours with the aim of retiring early. Didn't want to 'waste' money on anything. Retirement opened my eyes to what was out there about three years ago.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
The first I can remember was a battered old watch of my Grandad's. Sadly missplaced that. A Ronson quartz is the oldest I can remember the name of. Gave it to a charity shop recently.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
Sorry no. Boring old me!
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Don't buy what you cannot afford. Buy lots if you can. I really enjoy the variety of my collection.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Brew Metric.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
I genuinely don't have one. I kinda think grail watch equals expensive watch and I am happy with cheap vintage and homages. Shame on me!
